Story Leaders

Page Ahead is excited to foster quality early literacy experiences through our Story Leaders Program. Story Leaders gives free, high-quality picture books to pre-K children and maximizes the impact of those books by providing training for educators and families on how to use specific and highly effective “shared reading” strategies. This evidence-based program encourages students to take a more active role in reading, substantially increasing their early literacy skills, language development, and, ultimately, their kindergarten readiness. Story Leaders currently serves approximately 1,000 children and their families in communities experiencing low income through our partnerships with early learning centers across Washington State.
