M Coy Book Benefit Adds Novel Purpose to Holiday Shopping

Michael Coy and Michael Brasky open their bookstore, M Coy Books,to benefit healthcare services to the uninsured. Proceeds from booksales on December 2, 2004 will be donated to Pike Market MedicalClinic. For over ten years M Coy Books has shared their passionfor books and their spirit of giving with the downtown community.
This year M Coy Books gives shoppers the option to support notone but two good causes. In addition to their own gifts and indulgences,shoppers can purchase books to donate to Page Ahead Children's Literacy Program. Page Ahead provides new books and promotesreading activities for at-risk children across Washington State.
Event beneficiary Pike Market Medical Clinic provides primary healthcareand enabling services to low-income and uninsured people in downtownSeattle. Located on Post Alley in the heart of the Pike Place Market,the Clinic is visited 25,000 times each year by people in need.Most of its patients struggle to get by on less than $700 each month,and more than a third are homeless.
If you would like to donate a book to Page Ahead on December 2nd,call 206.623.5354. Choose your own book or select from the PageAhead wish list. Your book selection will be donated to a Page Aheadchild and proceeds donated to the Pike Market Medical Clinic.
